Ugggggh, WINTER!!!!!!

So, its been a while since i made a post in my blog, and thats because there pretty much has been nothing new to post about.. Why???? Cause this winter has been HORRIBLE! Snow, Snow, Snow, ICE, and more SNOW!!!!

The race scheduled for 1/1 got postponed to 1/30, then postponed again until 2/27!

I learned my lesson, no more scheduling races in January!

So hopefully Ill get to run the 5K on 2/27,  next one after that has not been scheduled as of yet, but I may be running a 5K in Suffolk county on 3/27.

Im also thinking about trying my first 10K on 5/1 depending on how training goes.

As far as weightloss goes, Im currently down 137 total now!

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving day is here, and a lot to be thankful for..  My health, my family, my friends, and all of you following my journey and encouraging me along the way!

What better way to celebrate this thanksgiving day than by running a 5K this morning!!

Ran for the first 40 minutes straight, took a walk for 90 seconds, then finished strong!

I didnt hit the 45 minute mark which was my original goal, but I am very happy and proud to have completed my very first 5K, and i DID hit a PR at 52:17, and now i have something to shoot for my next time out!

Final Practice Run

So tonight i did my final practice run before the big day Sunday!

I did a 2 mile run on the dreadmill in 32:30!

Im getting closer to the 15 min mark that I'm hoping for!!

I dont have any Nike+ data for this run because my Ipod died on me mid-run :(
